that hollowed out bear like creature in the castle hanging upside down and the wolves feasting on his guts dripping down was... sick as hell this game whips 1002103123 asses.
Played a few hours on Friday night with a friend who came over and gave me a crash course of Soupsborne games. Had an absolute blast and I can’t stop thinking about the possibilities of the game. Excited to finish my errands so I can dive in more
I’m very much enjoying samurai. that starting katana is wicked good and I’ve already upgraded it a little bit. good source of smithing stones in the limgrave tunnels.
Sure! It's pretty simple luckily. Every weapon has at least one stat (usually two) that it scales with, on any weapon in the weapon menu look for 'attribute scaling' , the stat it scales with will have a grade next to it. Early on it will usually be D or C. The higher the grade next to the stat, the higher that stat will be multiplied with a bonus. Upgrading and adding ashes of war will raise the scaling on your weapon, with my greatsword I added an ash of war which also had a 'heavy' upgrade which basically makes the weapon only scale on STR and ignore everything else. It went from a D to a B scale in strength which made the weapon a good amount stronger because the bonus is now higher. You can see the bonus stat next to the regular stat when changing weapons. What build are you going for?
I am not going to lie, when I was on the roof of the castle I was waiting for a Gargoyle to land. It seemed way too quiet.
honestly no clue I’m just speaking as someone who loved that weapon in the first few dark souls games it could be op as hell
Didn’t realise this thread existed. Rolling a vagabond with a couple of points invested in magic to have some ranged attacks. Using the Bastard Sword at the moment but tempted by the Claymore. Beat Godrick first try just there. Granted, I’ve upgraded a lot since Margit but I’m shocked how easy it felt. I made a bunch of mistakes but still managed to beat him.
Found a chest and it transported me to Sellia Crystal Tunnel. I wasn't prepared for this, but it's been a good place to mine for runes. It took me close to an hour to figure the exit isn't far away.
There’s actually a vendor that sells an item that can only be used on Margit that makes the fight a good bit easier!
I feel like the wolves are my go to for a bunch of normal enemies and my jelly is the go to for boss battles. I've just got a new one I want to try out though.
