I ended up with so many runes and smithing stones in the DLC I think every weapon and shield that's not in my chest is +24 or +9 now, it is crazy. Plenty of options for my NG+4 game though!
Blackgaol knight is the only boss I had to skip and come back to. Just smoked him after coming back at blessing level 10 lol.
Wandered around Shadow Keep for a while earlier and wound up finding like six scadu fragments in one place so that was pretty dope. I was experiencing a bit of a drought before that. Soo lost on this map lol.
I'm at the point now where I am trying to get all the cool items I missed; farming enemies for stuff that has a low drop rate just blows. I have fought the lightning lion guy in Enir Ilim for his gear 50+ times and I cannot get the armor to drop at all. 10 helms but 0 armor
I got him with +6 lol just gotta be patient but it’s so frustrating when he can two shot you if you fuck up
Getting summoned to all the silly easy fights tonight. on one hand I’m glad it’s not the same ones over and over again as usual. But also lol
that was harder than anything in the base game which i think is the first boss of the DLC i can say that for
Gaius is a bitch. Fuck Gaius, all my homies hate Gaius. dude just took me like 30 min to figure out but man does he have some of the most BS hit boxes and combos. Learning his moves barely helps. Dodging him is broken so I pretty much had to eat the damage and pray he doesn’t hit me with an instakill combo before I get a hit or two in. Managed to get him by upping my poise to like 85 with a heavy weapon with lots of stagger. Flameart great sword with cragblade only broke him one time. Maybe my least favorite major boss I’ve faced in the dlc so far.
Hated Gaius until I got the timing for his charge down. Ended up liking him a decent amount after that. I like a boss that makes positioning super important.
I don’t like Gaius much mechanically but I think a dude in armor riding an armored boar is sick and I like him for that
