I nearly shed a tear when I got to it the first time. They finally surpassed majula as the best place to hang out in a from game.
I’m watching my little 15 year old brother play this game for the first time and he’s absolutely steamrolling the game two handing bloodhound fang he’s in the mountaintops after like a week lol
Was totally about to make another lame joke about Bloodhound Fang and it's just dawned on me that I've totally been confusing that band with the Baha Men.
I actually took out Messmer on my 2nd try somehow lol this new Impenetrable Thorns sorcery is godlike for my bleed build
Are we talking about the same fight? You have to gesture to him and it starts a 1 v 1 battle where you get the martial arts skill/weapon.
Hoooooooly hell Midra is absolutely insane! The design is potentially my No.1 in the whole game, the cutscene at the start is fantastic and the fight itself is just crazy - plenty of ways to get hits in but the damage you take if you get hit yourself seems very high. After 2 bosses that I thought were kinda lame (Scadutree Avatar and Mother of Fingers) that I was more than happy to summon Mimic Tear for, I am gonna go for this one summonless - got it down to 50% on 3rd try so am quietly confident this time.
I got to radhan the other day not realizing they’re the final boss, so now I’m doubling back and exploring as much as possible to defeat as many bosses as possible before trying to tackle them again. Love this period, feels like a training montage for a final fight haha
OK, disregard all of the above - firstly it turns out I have Covid atm so I am unfortunately too sick to try any summonless bosses (such a shame!...), secondly I have now fought Bayle the Dread and OMFG that is now the No.1 boss of this game - the start of the second phase when those fire wings appear was phenomenal, a real peak Elden Ring moment for me. Am now at the final area of the DLC, which looks incredible from what I've seen so far. Not ready for it to end!
Bayle is an incredibly cinematic fight and it's especially bad ass if you summon Igon, but I fucking hate fighting dragon bosses in these games haha
I love the Placidusax fight and now that I've beaten Midir RL1 I've learned to love the fight (and I like Bayle) Other than that I agree, it's so often tedious
Bayle fight is fun enough, but gets tiresome when he keeps dashing to the other side of the arena lol
