Part of me wants to dive into this now but part of me also is a little burnt out from just replaying the entire game again and hitting almost everything I could
Ended up at Fort Reprimand even though I don’t have that part of the map revealed so I really don’t know what I’m getting into lol
it really is insane how big the dlc is. i keep ending up in totally new locations by accident. it fucking rules
I’m level 159 and just started the DLC. I got absolutely WRECKED by the thing that jumped off the arch at the start. Then found a fire pot guy and he rocked me too. Maybe I need to start in a different area? I also just finished Rise Of Ronin so I am not used to the button layout of Elden Ring since I beat it over a year ago now.
Totally getting anxious as well just exploring the first castle. So many different optional paths. Took out the putrid tree spirit dragon thing and it dropped an awesome talisman
I noticed there’s a few extra ancient dragon somber smithing stones in the dlc when I was checking the item page the other day
Don’t want to fool you, the weapon art is NOT as cool as the winged scythe but it does some really good poise/stagger damage.
I went a really long time without using the scythe art because I had the jellyfish shield but when I started using incantations more I saw it and was like oh fuck and switched to a shield without an art
I’m two minutes into this video and my mouth is on the ground. I really don’t use jump enough to dodge I mostly use it as a way to get huge attacks in
Wow that video is so cool. Never really thought about using pots during boss fights especially during some of their attacks
Yeah lots of great tips. Running with a shield most of my last run introduced me to guard counters and they’re so overpowered especially on trash mobs
Placudisax down. First time getting him by the time I realized I never faced him on my first character I was on NG++ and couldn’t do it. I had zero problems this time. With that I believe I’ve done everything there is to do in the base game minus a few odds and ends. I know mt gelmir heros ruins or whatever is unfinished because fuck that place. also missing one field boss in consecrated snow field I know of. other than that I think I did it all. DLC time tomorrow night
I'm using this rn as a faith focused build w/ flaming strike and a flame art affinity. I need to get good at shields and guard countering though since it has a unique counter ability (the same move where a Black Knight hammers the ground with a faith AOE). I'm way too used to having a seal in my off hand and just dodging. I have the Black Knight shield as well but don't hit the strength req of 35 at the moment so might respec for it. It has the best guard boost of any shield (at least the ones I own) so its could be an insanely good combo with the hammer's special counter.
