Been thinking about doing some level 1 runs lately. Im not very good at these games, but I do love them a lot.
I'm not good either and I did it so I believe in you and you should do it It's so much fun in all of these games (except Bloodborne so far, kinda just annoying in Bloodborne)
Farming at BL4 is just a loooot more annoying than it is in a standard playthrough (which includes gems yeah) The bosses and stuff are good it's just the quality of life being bad
Radahn down. Dk why I was struggling so much it took me two tries tonight and I wasn’t really any higher of a level. Been relying on my black flame incantation a lot
Level 72 and got the mimic ashes. Also a few days ago I got the item that gets you to Mohg’s boss fight. Realistically I COULD be DLC ready by the weekend but I’m playing a few other games at the moment and since I just binged a few hours on elden ring I’m probably gonna play something else tomorrow but we’ll see how it shakes out. Ideally I’ll at least be level 100-110 before taking on Mohg
Great Wyrm Theodorix, I like you but I DO NOT respect you!! Could not beat him without my Mimic Tear due to his OHKO slam move (which in fact did not OHKO my Mimic?). Need to beat Placidusax and cure my characters madness then I will be ready for the DLC, I am almost level 300 lmfao.
FightinCowboy just posted a 15 minute review of the DLC and holy shit lol the map is HUGE. Its way more than what they said it was going to be.
95 on Metacritic right now, just 1 point below the base game. Think Im out of the thread till release. For reference, Bloodborne got a 92 and Old Hunters got an 87. Not sure what that tells you.
Cowboy says in his review to expect about 35-40hrs which is awesome. Also looks like verticality is crazy in this map. I didnt really pay much attention outside of his initial thoughts so I can go in fresh but dude has me hyped.
I think my main save is on NG +2 so I'll see how that goes. I have a 125 too, I think it's on NG+. I started a new play-through a couple weeks ago but I'm not gonna end up going through with that one.
Took a brief look at some of the reviews and some were pretty much saying it is the greatest DLC of any game they have ever seen lol, and easily the best From Software content they've experienced. I thought my hype was at max but it has now increased 10x
Started a new character I’m hoping to roll I to the DLC with. Went with kind of a spellsword build so far, got the Carian glintstone staff with carian slicer and carian greatsword in my left hand. Also using my mixed flask to boost magic and the talisman that increases power on successive hits, so I’m just melting guys with carian slicer rn. Haven’t settled on a main right hand weapon yet though. Using Rogier’s rapier now but I think I’ll want something that scales with INT
My 15 year old brother is watching jynxi play this game and has decided he’s gonna buy it after he gets his allowance for mowing the lawn this week. Kid has beat hollow knight including the radiance ending so I think he’ll do fine.
Absolute cheat code lol used it my first playthrough and most of my NG+ but for NG++ I dumped everything into intellect and the straight sorcery build was the most fun I’ve had with the game. My winged scythe strength faith build right now is pretty close though.
