haha absolutely - I adored how AC felt, and the power fantasy of having an insane mech that just completely obliterates everything in its path never got old, and they even made it make sense thematically. most fun I had all year
I’m willing to accept I’m just bad but the combat feels so sloppy, it reminds me of FF7 remake which I also hated
Higher expectations for a game that sold more than all armored codes to this day combined is some hare brained shit
I think all companies ride the high of their successes and sip that Kool-Aid. One thing does well, so they should all do that well.
"Oh no, why didn't my acidcore nu-folk album do as well as my album with Swedish songwriters and trap beats?"
I think the most frustrating thing about Armored Core is I can't even see what I'm fighting. Why is everything so tiny? I don't feel like I'm in a huge robot battling it out against other giant robots. I feel like I'm blowing up micromachines (after incredibly long weapon cooldowns). I'm genuinely just auto aiming at lock on reticals, if it's not a boss then I can't even see the mech I'm fighting.
i finally beat Elden Ring (with the help of a summoned player) the person damn near didn't take a hit too, it was incredible question! if i go into Journey 2, will i keep the 375k runes i got from Elden Beast? or will those disappear?
Been playing through the soulsborne games again - waiting for SotE DLC Sekiro still is my favorite combat system. playing it and DS1 right now and while I get my ass whooped in sekiro it at least feels more fair then having a lightning bolt travel through smough and kill me 12 seconds after starting the boss fight
I need to get going on another Elden ring finish because my main is on NG+3 and it’s gonna hurt to play the DLC on that one
I made the mistake of starting the Bloodborne dlc on a NG+ run and man that was a bad choice. Got rocked constantly and never finished it since I didnt want to start from scratch at the time. With Elden Ring I kinda want to just level a new character with my favorite combo of STR/FTH like my OG run so I can use my big swords and dragon incantations.
I cannot imagine having to fight Orphan of Kos on NG+. I'm so glad I was able to just hop right into the DLC before wrapping up my first playthrough.
I think I did Orphan before Wet Nurse Orphan wasn't too bad, it's a chaotic fight but not as difficult as I thought it'd be Ludwig and Laurence gave me headaches here and there though
