DS aged badly and I think Bluepoint missed the mark on art direction. Feels oddly polished and a little too sterile imo. Especially after Elden Ring

 

I played the first level and boss of that game and really enjoyed it but def felt more of a soulslike than a pure souls experience but it’s a top tier soulslike which yeah obviously

 

I mean yeah it’s sitting at like 99 metacritic I’m just being my usual insufferable self

 

I also own the original demons souls on ps3 and I think that might be fun to get through just to say I did at some point

 

God knows it’s how I did it. The 4-1 souls grind is real.

 

Bloodborne is one of the best games of all time. You think it’s just some ol’ timey goth shit, fighting werewolves and stuff. Then halfway through the game it all changes. So sick

I love Demons Souls, it’s probably heavily due to nostalgia but I played it when it first came out and I was hooked. Beat it like 5 times before Dark Souls was even announced. I do agree that Bluepoints style changes are all worse than the original

 

Fromsoft has a corner on the storytelling department in this industry imo so I’m excited to figure out what bloodborne is all about

I’d also say Old Yarnham, it will also allow you to access the chalice dungeons in case you get stuck and need to farm

 

heh, that's exactly what caught me up when i fell off

 

i'm also making progress w Armored Core 6, getting through bosses after usually like a few hours of struggle (or days)
i'm in Chapter 3 now, started a mission where i actually have to be somewhat stealthy.... i don't like it

That's where I had to stop playing on my first playthrough. I must've tried around 30 times before I gave up. Returned half a year later and got them first or second try, haha
