I think being able to ignore things entirely is also bad design, I don’t think it’s that hard to understand
Started Sekiro again recently after not playing a From Soft game since finishing Elden Ring. These games are just on another level for me. Once upon a time I considered myself pretty good at this game and I'm still getting that back but having a great time with it. I think out of all the From games, this one most deserves a sequel.
I don’t know the intricacies of good vs bad boss design but I still feel another playthrough later that most of these fights can be exactly as fun or miserable as you want to make them because the spectacle and framing is off the charts. Again though I don’t go into these things looking to climb a mountain of difficulty so I can see why the hardcore camp might feel differently.
Malenia is such a monster of a fight, it's great. I'm having the most trouble with the 3-slash attack so far at RL1. Waterfowl isn't much of a problem right now but that 3-slash attack (the one after the unsheathe-like sound) is so hard for me to dodge. Definitely a skill issue though, I'll hopefully get it down
Finally finished Elden Ring today. What an experience. Finished all the bosses too. Malenia was tough but so much fun. Dragonlord Placidusax gave me the most trouble out of everyone though. current ranking of From games I’ve played: Bloodborne>Elden Ring>DS3>DS1 still need to play Sekiro, DS2, and Demon Souls.
It feels like a lifetime ago when I 100%d ER. Such a fun experience and hands down one of my favorite games ever. Looking forward to some more content and if I’m really sadistic I’ll pick it up on PS and platinum it one day.
Right now Sekiro > DS3 > Elden Ring > Bloodborne >>>>> Demons Souls >>>>>>>>>>> DS1 So far I like DS2 at least more than Demons Souls and DS1
Bloodborne > Dark Souls > Elden Ring > Demons Souls > Dark Souls 3 > Sekiro (I love all these games very much) Dark Souls 2 is fanfiction and doesn't qualify currently have my ps3 hooked up to play Warhawk, might do another run through of Demons Souls tonight
Sekiro>> Bloodborne>> Dark Souls 2>> Demon's Souls>> Dark Souls 3 >>Dark Souls 1 Idk where to put elden ring, I just popped it on today and like usual, I get fucking bored really fast lol.
I'm realizing my biggest issue with Elden Ring is the weapon I am using, I am using that huge curved sword that causes bleed, it's slow as fuck. Think i'm gonna respec to DEX and go for something much faster. Any recs? @Fucking Dustin
If you want to stick to bleed Bandit's Curved Sword with a blood ash of war is fantastic, especially dual wielded. You can farm them off skeletons near the Church of Pilgrimage in Weeping Peninsula. Can't go wrong with the classic Uchigitana either. On my RL1 run I've messed around with Uchigitana in right hand with unsheathe, Wakizashi in left hand with parry, and its been incredibly fun
I've never used those before, I'm not sure how well they end up scaling in the long run but I'm sure they can be fun
Bloodhound’s Fang. Relatively easy to get early on and you can pretty much play through the whole game with it. Scales with DEX.
Sheeeeit I was thinking maybe that’s what you were using but for some reason I don’t really consider it slow, compared to a lot of the other weapons. My bad lmao. It’s just so good.
Yeah Bloodhound Fang is really really good, especially the ash of war, I don't like using it either though
I'm trying to wear a full set of armor for Radagon/EB and still be able to light roll and I have to have a rune arc to do it haha, I'm down to exactly 1 left I've gotten Elden Beast down to about 10% health left, but I'm not consistently getting past Radagon right now
