I’m at the Divine Tower of Caelid. Went to the bottom and took out the Godskin Apostle and now I forgot where else I need to explore in here lol.
Doing a ridiculous axe/greatshield build in ER with the bloodhound step and having a blast. The thing about this game is I understand why people get burnt out by it but it's so easy and fluid to play that once I find an enjoyable build it can still be tough to put down
I wish I just had like a week off to play Elden Ring. I have such a hard time just playing for like a few hours at a time. I need like eight hours or it’s a no go.
https://www.pcgamer.com/oops-all-ma...h-secret-megaboss-and-tries-to-beat-the-game/ Fucking psychotic next-level hero shit.
There’s no one I hate in Elden Ring quite like Preceptor Miriam Am in Nokstella now and deciding whether to continue there or finish Leyndell (pt 1). I’m thinking the latter but I might do a bit of Nokstella just for upgrade stuff Remembrance bosses down: Godrick Rennala Radahn Regal Ancestor Spirit Up next: Morgott (edit: or maybe Fortissax since I just remembered that)
Preceptor Miriam was such an annoying fucking fight. Having been a melee fighter, it was so hard just to get her to stay in one place for me to wallop her. Can't remember if I had as much trouble the second time though.
My second playthrough I did fine against her both times but the RL1 try was hell cuz the Loretta attack is a guaranteed OHKO
I could never see those gargoyles again and I'd be happy They honestly didn't take as long as I thought they would but god they're so annoying. Terrible design IMO, and I think it'd be fixed as simply as the poison mist not also doing tick damage. It inflicting poison and worrying about the 2 attacking at once is plenty and I think it'd make it good. I dunno, I get it in something like DS3 (where even Demon Prince isn't really that way) but in Elden Ring where the motto is "we really don't wanna be tedious hence these stakes of marika and graces everywhere" just feels like they're contradicting themselves a bit with how much that adds tediousness. I think if there wasn't tick damage you'd at least be able to make decisions better with "do I take the poison for uptime or do I be patient?" and now it moreso forces your hand in one direction. Rant over, there's enough ways to get through it and there's much harder we've dealt with in games but I do just love talking about boss design and I think theorizing what we personally would do for a boss design is really fun
One idea I had for Malenia was a damage stance or a healing stance, where if she was in damage stance she'd be stronger but drain at her own HP to attack and at any time (strategically, most likely, rather than randomly) she could switch to healing stance and attack a bit weaker but recover HP with each hit like she does now. Switching stances would be a downtime moment for her so it'd give the player a couple more windows they don't have otherwise while also adding to the challenge in a different way I feel like something like that would be really fun and if there were an Inner Malenia a la Sekiro gauntlet that's what I'd want it to be. I think she's pretty perfect as is, so it's not something that feels frustrating like Valiant Gargoyles at all haha
Yeah, the gargoyles were such a pain, even after I got the Mimic and had what's-his-face's brother helping me out. It's like, one is bad enough on its own, but adding a second just reeks of fake difficulty.
I used the shaman bone blade for those but yeah still very frustrating to fight and before I learned you could do that I had SO much trouble with them
On phase 2 of Morgott, I think I'ma be able to get him down. Fortissax I was having more trouble with but I think unlocking MOTG and being able to get more upgrade materials will go a long way with Fortissax.
Good news: I BEAT MORGOTT Bad news: MY GAME CRASHED About to see if that was retained wish me luck Edit: GOOD Remembrance bosses down: Godrick Rennala Radahn Regal Ancestor Spirit Morgott Up next: Fortissax or Astel or Fire Giant
