Bloodborne still stands as my absolute favorite From game that I've played and one of my favorite games ever. I finished it for the first time last year and still think about it almost daily. The atmosphere, lore, design, and art direction are just phenomenal, and trick weapons are such a brilliant concept for the genre.
I did not quit my SL1 run but I am playing it in very very small spurts because I'm stuck between the decision of fighting Darkeater Midir (who I am gaining a newfound respect for though I still think the fight isn't as good as Placidusax) and fighting Halflight (who I breezed through in previous playthroughs but I am learning on SL1 completely sucks and is a drag) Took a break and decided to do a Bloodborne challenge run but I don't think I'm good enough at it yet since I've only beaten it once so am taking some time to get better
Messing around with Elden Ring RL1 now that my last Bloodborne run is done (I can't stop me etc) and one thing I really appreciate about this game in a RL1 setting is how fall damage works, it's so much better than DS3 having the better wiggle room vs in DS3 dealing with situations where you just constantly have to take damage from it
Oh no started a new Elden Ring run on deck Went Str/Faith my first playthrough, so I’ll probably go int, dex, or a mix of the two this time around so I can play around with some weapons or spells I missed out on
Elden Ring RL1 is really fun. I've kinda stuck with the Morning Star thus far but it's nice to have so many different ways to manipulate stats at RL1 and discover different combinations of things you can do. I think next time I play I'ma go through Raya Lucaria and see how that goes. My character's name is Brave Sir Robin. He is going through a lot but is doing good.
Been playing Elden Ring again lately. Level 158 and I just now learned how to wield a weapon with two hands lmfao. I probably just sat at the Palace Approach Ledge-Road farming runes for about 70 of those levels tbf about to go to the academy tomorrow I’m gonna be so OP
Lmao yes. I found the dragon where you get the key to get in or whatever like super early on and then the dragon destroyed me and I couldn’t find my way back. This was like a year ago when the game first came out. I never really got the hang of the game so I just decided to grind out levels, and now lately I’ve just been grinding levels while watching TV or whatever and actually feel like when I explore I can handle myself. I desperately need to beat Rennala so I can respec a bunch of these stat points that I put into random shit like faith and mind when all I do is swing my sword lol.
And I thought I was being cautious when I started out in the game, but you sir, have taken it to new heights. I mean... you're a higher level right now than I was when I beat the game. That's... something.
Honestly I just fucked up with my stat points, I was trying too hard to build my levels up evenly and have since realized that is exactly what you don’t want to do, so despite my high level I still get destroyed sometimes when I should be much better off.
And then yeah little things like literally not knowing how to use my weapon with two hands, thus not getting the most effectiveness out it. Just generally being bad at the game and not getting it lol. I’ve just been googling stuff now whenever I come across any mechanic I’m unsure of at this point.
i need to go back in and finally beat the last boss, i could never get the Elden Beast down more than like 75% health
