I haven’t gotten to Seath yet so that’s good to know haha, maybe I’ll resume tonight Finished my DS3 main story replay and it went extremely smoothly until I decided to do DLC and got to Sister Friede and she’s destroying me, something is missing in my technique since last time I faced her haha but I’m just getting obliterated
Once you cross that huge ravine and fight the clam guys you are right there. Probably one of the easiest bosses in the game. Just have curse resistant gear and stones on you.
started a new character on DS3 today...went with a pyromancer instead of doing NG+ not even through Lothric castle and I've probably died 10 times already lol
Red Wolf of Radagon is kicking my ass, I’m doing loads of damage but having a hard time landing blows. I love this game so far despite some minor annoyances and frustration. The rush of just barely beating a boss is enough to keep going.
I actually remember breezing through Red Wolf, honestly. Can't remember what I had on me at the time; I think I was still using the Godrick Soldier Ashes at that point for Spirit Ash, and I think my Ash Of War was still the Bloody Slash. Dunno what kind of build you have though. But anyway, I tended to use Spirit Ashes to distract my opponents and then fight them while they're occupied. I honestly don't remember the fight lasting that long, so maybe there's other things you haven't done that you can do to build up your character?
The two biggest issues with the Red Wolf is actually getting to him from the Site of Grace and then the camera when you are fighting him. Pro Tip: there is a hidden wall in one of the bookshelves.
The bosses that gave me a hard time whom I still need to go back to are: putrid tree spirit in the catacomb near where you fight Radahn The two tree sentinels outside capital outskirts
Malenia and Maliketh were the 2 for me and both were great Not much else really stuck with me though, I enjoyed a shit ton of things about Elden Ring but my main draw is bosses and it had a very low hit rate on bosses
I feel like a lot more bosses would've given me trouble if I hadn't used Lion's Claw and Mimic's Tear to pounce my way to victory. It really is a winning combination for a lot of opponents.
Idly wondering about the times my Mimic was nowhere near the boss while I was wailing away and taking damage and wondering which one of us was the idiot in the scenario.
Definitely taking a little break on From games after I finished DS3. Might go back in and try to beat the DLC but my first run through of the snow area in Ariandel made me very mad lol I’ll get to Elden Ring next when I’m in the mood for another from game
I couldn’t believe how brutal it was haha I turned it off after my initial few runs. Might give it a go later this week because I know both DLCs are highly regarded
Ringed City DLC is amazing front to back IMO, Ariandel is not as great but the final boss more than makes up for it and is one of my all time favorites in FromSoft games, but yeah that starting stretch with the snowfield and then traversing down the trees is really annoying
got my new xbox controller in the other day. hopped back into Elden Ring after a while away. Fire Giant is STILL crushing me
Do you have Alexander helping you? I'll also say that it took me a couple tries before I figured out the game actually wanted me to hit the Giant's hands in the second phase. That was not completely obvious.
just a regular Xbox controller fam, i guarantee you i have not advanced anyone's questlines to have NPC's available during these fights T_T
Ooh, that's rough. Not that Alexander is that helpful, but he's a body, and I'm of the opinion that the more bodies distracting the boss, the better. Beyond that, advancing most questlines is a great way to further develop your character. I didn't even do Leyndell until after I finished Deeproot Depths for Fia and Nokron for Ranni, and I didn't do the Fire Giant until after Volcano Manor, Mohgwyn Palace, and the Haligtree. I dunno how much of that you've neglected, but you could be potentially shooting yourself in the foot by not adequately preparing.
