true lol. too bad ive hit a fucking brick wall in dark souls remastered, fuck the four kings fuck the demon firesage
The ones after those 2 were the ones that made me throw my arms up in frustration Now I'm at a brick wall known as "I can't stop falling to my death"
I leveled up my strength and used the ultra great sword to dominate the four kings. Made it quick to take one down before the others could spawn!
Player's Log: I played much later than I should have tonight but I really wanted to try to finish Lyendell. Spoiler alert: I did not finish Lyendell. I did get a majority of it done though. I did not go into the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds, I'm going to save that for later on, but I did find them. And I ended up stopping after killing the giant guarding the Divine Bridge. I think pretty much tomorrow is going to be solidly about finishing Lyendell.
I took a break after I burnt myself out on Elden Ring, but I started a new save on Bloodborne which I've never actually beaten. I remember struggling my first time around since it was my first try at a Fromsoft game. The mechanics are a lot easier this time around and I can actually time parries pretty decently now after putting in 200 hrs in ER. Still not an easy game for me. I struggled with the Blood Starved Beast for a bit before figuring out what to do for instance. I do find myself farming kills just to be able to buy the consumables I need which can be tedious in this but overall enjoying this far more now.
Player's Log: I am currently at the first Site of Grace for the Mountaintop Of The Giants. I finished Leyndell except for the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds. I have a bone to pick with From over Brother Corhyn's quest. Requiring the usage of a spell that needs 37 INT to be cast feels very unfair for people who rely on a strength build. It's basically saying, if you want to complete this quest, you have to be reborn with high INT solely so you can use this spell and then rebirth back to who you want after. I dunno, it feels like, if not bad design, just annoying design to soft-lock a quest like that behind stats like that, since I'm not aware of any other quest designed that way. End rant. I did it anyway though because I want 100% completion. I also finished Haight and Nepheli's quests since I killed Morgott. Now I have a choice to make. I know I can freely explore Mountaintop as long as I do not under any circumstances go to a particular location and complete a particular task. I can also backtrack to some of the areas I've been passing. I have options. I may go back to Dragonbarrow and see how I fare now.
Player's Log: Cleaned out Dragonbarrow except for this one talisman that's behind the Bestial Sanctum, because it involves a lot of very precise and possibly painful jumping and I can't deal with it. It's not an important talisman anyway. Unfortunately I did also have to suffer the jumping in the Caelid Tower, and fuck From Software and their platforming mechanics. Such bullshit. Anyway, Dragonbarrow was surprisingly less tense enemy-wise this time around than I expected. I even took out the dragons, which was nice to see. With that all done, I've decided to next turn my attention to the Volcano Manor, or at least taking out as much as I can without breaking any NPC quests. I already killed the Abductor Virgins and they were surprisingly easy, but then again I'm probably way overleveled by now for this area. I'm fine with it.
Additional note: I did also take out the Ball Busting Hunter in Dragonbarrow, but I didn't do it fairly. I could only get him halfway head on, but then I learned a neat cheese that I never realized. If you can get on top of the house with Torrent, the Hunter can no longer hit you. Thus began a strange cat and mouse with me trying to coax the Hunter out from the hut beneath me so I could hit him with any throwable object in my inventory. Eventually he went down, but there was one frustrating attempt where I got him halfway and my game crashed. I was very upset. Anyway, he's done now.
