You did the shunning ground before the capital?

 

Player's Log: I finished what I would call the outside portion of the Capital Outskirts, including killing the Draconic Tree Sentinel and sitting at the first Site Of Grace inside Leyndell.

I'm not going into Leyndell proper yet though, because I haven't done the dungeons scattered around the Outskirts, of which there appear to be three. That's tomorrow's journey.

I'm currently level 115 and I'm certainly feeling it around here. The bosses I've fought thus far in the area, I've only died to them because of stupid shit I do, not because they're actually difficult in any way.

And in another testament to how OP the Lion's Claw is, I fought the Ball Busting Hunter for the area and fucking demolished him. Can't fight me if your face is on the floor, creep.

The place where Mohg is located is called the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds.

Well I did a majority of capital before I did shunning grounds correct. Got all the gates open except the last one then did Mohg. Then did the rest up top. Clearing out the rest of that area now

 

I finished lake of rot tonight and took out astel. I’ll need to go back for the tree spirit but I was tired of getting the rot. So glad I can finally tackle the liurnia plateau that I’ve been pissed I can’t get to. Once I knock that out, I think I’ll get the other half of the medallion and access altus.

even with the guide, I’m having a tough time keeping track of peoples questlines. There’s just so much to do!

 

pretty sure Mohg is just in the Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum in like the Siorfia river area.

Subterranean Shunning Grounds is under Leyndell (that's where Dung Eater is) ((so i'm told i haven't explored there yet))

 

Okay, the confusion is because, as if the naming convention in this game wasn't bad enough, there are two bosses named Mohg in the game.

There's Mohg, Lord Of Blood, who is whom you're referring to, and then there's Mohg, The Omen, who is whom we're referring to.

 

Yeah there's a few main bosses where you fight a golden "shade" version of them in a different area, but even Margitt the Fell omen at Stormveil Castle is just another version of Morgott but not a "shade"???

Remember after fighting Mohg The Omen to hit the alter at the back of the arena to open another secret area! And the worst platforming experience in gaming history! lol

 

It opens a door to Rascal for the original PlayStation?

 

I took one shot at that secret area and decided never to try it again

 

What!? That’s funny cuz there was a message that said “chest therefore no hidden path” but I assumed it was trolling

 

In-game messaging has been both the most useful and most infuriating tool in my arsenal.

 

You are not missing out on much, kind of a waste of time if you aren't going down there for the specific goal of getting a certain alternate ending, but there is another secret passage down there that leads through to Deeproot Depths with a couple more items/enemies etc.

yeah, one of the few complaints I have about the game is that there is no quest log ala Skyrim to keep track of all these things

 

(try smacking the altar behind that grace with your sword)

 

Player's Log: I cleaned up the Outskirts. The Hero's Grave had the worst platforming section I've encountered yet in this game. Fucking nerve-wracking hell, trying to land on those tiny little boards. Someone got their sadism out when they made that sequence. After that, going to the Sealed Cave was like a pleasant vacation.

Anyway, I've started Lyendell, and by that I mean I entered Lyendell and rested at the first Site Of Grace where Boc is. What I've seen so far looks real purty, but I know I've only seen a glimpse.

Speaking of Boc, I finished his quest, and by finished I mean I very pointedly did not give him the Larval Tear and instead played the "You're Beautiful" Prattling Pate, because God as my witness one of the people I've met on this journey is going to have a happy ending if I can do anything about it. Someone has to not die a horrible karmic death. It might as well be Boc.

I also didn't know that the Finger Lady in the Two Fingers chamber at the Roundtable Hold gives you a third accessory pouch. That is useful.

My Vigor's at 50. My Strength's at 50. Tomorrow, it's time to rock Lyendell.

 

Good luck! The capital is now one of my favorite areas in the game. I beat my head against a wall a couple times as I’m sure you will too. Though it’s all worth it

there is a 4th one after you beat someone else coming up very soon

 

Oh man. I'm excited.

 

Players Log: Had a brief explore of Liurnia and got the map, but worried myself thinking I wasn't prepared for the area, so went back to limgrave for a bit.

Cleared out the stormfoot catacombs and beat the Erdtree Watchdog on my third attempt. Got my wolves to do a lot of the work. What a fucking creepy boss.

Then figured I'd head south so wandered into the weeping peninsula. Not found a whole lot yet, just got to a church with site of grace. I've managed to upgrade my flasks a bit this evening which is reassuring.

Think I can afford to have a bit more confidence with field enemies, I'm dispatching most enemies pretty easily. And I'm learning that a lot of the time hopping on Torrent makes fights a lot more comfortable.

I'm about level 22 I think, mostly put it into vigor so far. How soon should I attempt stormveil castle? I dont feel ready for Margit yet but I guess I can't put it off forever.

 

Have you done literally everything else in Limgrave and Weeping Peninsula? That's when you fight Margit.
