Well, I think it’s just the bear enemies and I’m definitely not strong enough to take them on just yet.
Spent like an hour trying to fight Margit before giving up. What total bullshit game design to just be like "here bash your head against the wall for hours so you can go back to enjoying the game you bought that's how little we as developers value the time of our players". Also the reviewers who were like "if you get stuck somewhere you can always go do something else" sorta failed to mention the whole "can't get your runes back from the bosses" thing.
Would have been super easy for them to just drop the rune collection point outside the drop the boss room. Literally no reason for the developer not to other than to simply be a dick to their players.
All the “You Died” messages don’t mean a thing once I finally kill that boss with zero flasks and a sliver of health. That’s what gets the blood pumping.
why are you excusing shitty game design? its okay to admit the designers could do a better job in certain areas.
What’s more likely? Every major publication is wrong in thinking the game is great or you are wrong thinking it’s too hard and the design sucks? signed, Someone else who keeps dying
imagine running a company and thinking "hey we should go out of our way to make our games less accessible and enjoyable for people" on what planet does that make sense from a business perspective?
i mean you're free to suggest how putting the rune collection points inside the boss rooms makes the game better. I'll be waiting here. or do you not realize stuff doesn't neatly fall into buckets of "everything about this is good" or "everything about this is bad"??
I get it. These games are hard and frustrating but they aren’t for everyone. My advice would be to take a break, watch/read some guides. There are already a ton out there. Then come back refreshed. Don’t lash out at us because we definitely didn’t make the game. We are all dying and learning as well.
they’ve never touted their games as being approachable. it’s not gonna hold your hand. learn the bosses attack patterns. it’s all trial and error. I’ve played through all of these games and hit a wall with magrit and got my ass whipped for an hour until I got him or if it’s making you this miserable, like I said, maybe not for you
I pointed out a problem with the game. "lol that is just how the game is" is not actually a good excuse for bad game design
