As someone who owns both, It absolutely looks better than Eldin Ring. Elden Ring is the superior game, though - no contest.
This bear in Dragonbarrow cave has given me more trouble than anything in this game besides Margitt at level 20
Changed my wondrous physick to one that breaks stance more easily and it did the trick. Love how many options this game gives you to accomplish things
Those poison spewing things with all the arms that are aggressive as hell are harder than some bosses. Just got the platinum trophy on Elden Ring today! Legit one of the best games I have ever played.
I steamrolled NG+ up to Maliketh but was able to get him after a few attempts, and then elden beast tripped me up a little bit but again not too much struggle. on NG++ now and I’m having trouble with Maliketh and decided to knock out Placidusax as well and they’re both giving me some pain but I haven’t put in many attempts yet. Other than that not much has been too difficult, just annoying now that enemy attack power is staring to scale so high my health just plummets when I get hit a couple times even with 65 vigor and margotts great rune
I was able to reload a save file and get all endings. Thought I missed one because brother corhyn died on the mountaintop in leyndell but it gave it to me anyway!
thank God there is no more true "hollowing" in Dark Souls III I know you can ember to buff up and get more health, but there were points in DSII where I was out of human effigy and my health was at 50% lmao
I have finally begun playing this game in the last 10 days or so, chose to play as a Samurai and have basically been 2-handing the uchigatana (currently upgraded to +3) and using unsheathe attacks against everything. This is my first From game that isn't Sekiro and am finding it wildly different and the combat much more challenging. I am level 30 going through Stormveil Castle and have got to the courtyards where the Lion thing is and it is basically wiping the floor with me. So I wanted to ask; is level 30 an appropriate level for Stormveil? Margit is the only boss I've done and luckily it took me less than 10 tries but then some of the armored knights in the main castle killed me maybe 20 times. Even the eagles on the roof kill me sometimes - should I go explore Limgrave more (fight the 2x bosses on horseback and the dragon maybe?) and maybe try Weeping Peninsula to add a few more levels & get more vigor, or is it the classic case of just needing to get good?
30 is decent for Stormveil but I would explore more if you are struggling. There are a lot of bosses in the early areas.
Also I would find something to duel wield with your katana as two handing is really only viable if you’re a strength build and I’m assuming you’re dex
I have done some of the crappy dungeon bosses + the invading NPCs and just steamrolled them, but Tree Sentinel and the knight on the black horse kick my ass, so the balance is hard to find atm Yeah I think this makes the most sense for me atm, I have lost about 10k runes in Stormveil and it is annoying me now lol Yes I am Dex but I did get my strength up so I could use a certain spear I found. I have the Reduvia dagger from killing that invading NPC, the Twinblade and the spear so I will just go with one of them - my main goal is to get the Cross Naginata & dual wield with a katana so I can basically cosplay as Sword Saint Isshin
