there’s a few different things that trigger the festival and the lift is one of them but it’s not the only way
I stand by that route, but Radahn simply doesn’t appear unless you trigger him. However that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go to Caelid before the plateau because there’s an entire different boss where you’d fight him.
You can also go back if/when you beat him and there is a (double) surprise. @Cameron just know he is an optional boss.
technically rennala is optional if you don’t care about respeccing but then that would require you to kill radahn. basically you just need two great runes to get to the capital and you can get your second one from either rennala or radahn, doesn’t matter which
more than 60% of the game if not more is optional. The amount of stuff you can miss is mind-boggling. Miquella's Haligtree is as big if not bigger than entire Gravestones in Demon's Souls and you have to go out of your way to get there. hell, I have 120 hours in the game and I am sure I missed a whole bunch of shit.
They nerfed Radahn into oblivion because the first people to get to him spent more time whining about him online than playing the fucking game. While I appreciate the spectacle of the fight, it has become far too trivialised.
still not what he used to be. his attacks hit less hard but they restored the range of them to the original values. idk. All I can say to the whiners is that Torrent exists.
I beat OG radahn but looking up strats is how I came across hoarfrost stomp so I think that cancels it out also people underestimate hoarfrost stomp post-nerf I saw someone wipe out godskin duo with it even after nerf
I started using hoarfrost stomp the day after the nerf, not knowing any of the meta and I was shocked by how good it was.
Is Leyndell the biggest dungeon Fromsoft has ever made in one of these? Just finished it and it’s absolutely massive. Also, finally got my sword of night and flame build and that ash of war dominates
Leyndell is basically an entire zone especially with the sewers taken into account, not just a dungeon
