Guardian Ape and Genichiro were both great fights and yeah both walled me pretty heavily my first playthrough haha. Sekiro was my first FromSoft and after I beat Genichiro was the moment where I was like "oh okay I MIGHT know how to play this"
Similar experience. Sekiro was my first From game, but I had played Nioh before so had a bit of that flavor acquired. I had a blast with Sekiro and beating Genichiro was such a great feeling. I got the demons souls remake last year and worked my way through every From game since then but am taking my time with Elden Ring. I’m like 25 hours in and haven’t started the second mandatory dungeon yet.
Man so many Youtubers are trying to get that Elden Ring Lore cash. Don't y'all know we only listen to VaatiVidya for his voice?
Sekiro was the first FromSoft game I beat and I had a very similar experience. You can't get OP in Sekiro, you can only get good. I walled super hard at Genichiro and when I finally beat him my reaction was unhinged.
Pontiff Sulyvahn was easily the hardest boss in Dark Souls 3. Nothing before or after him is as difficult.
The moment when the…second phase of the Guardian Ape fight starts was one of my biggest “oh shit” moments in gaming ever. Just an incredible boss fight.
I was definitely over-leveled. Even still, I remember it well because I had a lot of really lucky well timed dodges that felt realllly good.
Currently on Godfrey and Malenia with basically everything else in the game done. Very cool how different these fights are with Godfrey being super aggressive and just going all out on you while Malenia gives you more space and generally seems like she isnt trying very hard. Only gotten her first phase past half health once or twice but I can already tell that this is one of the best From bosses.
I don’t know if I ever said it but those humanoid bats are the absolute worst like yeah the singing beautiful but god damn they look freaky
My favorite boss in any Dark Souls game, especially when I'd speed-run due to the fact that if you use the laydown emote or the crouching emote - 80% of his attacks would just go right through you and do no damage. Not sure if it was ever fixed but it was fucking hilarious.
I didn't like Pontiff as much as others, I thought parrying simplified things way too much and made the fight WAY too fast but the boss gets a lotta acclaim so what do I know
I don’t usually do PVP. This is me after getting branded. The large amount of runes was in reference to enemies that have glowing eyes because they usually give you a ton more, especially at night.
