I can count the time I actually lost a meaningful amount of runes in this game on one hand. There’s a grace around every corner.

 

Also rune loss is a totally avoidable problem imo. I have a pretty good system for it, if I do say so myself. I hoard all those items that give you free runes and then, when I start getting close to a level up, I use some of them to put me over the edge and immediately bank that skill point. That way you're never walking around too long with enough runes that a loss would be painful. And I never go into a boss fight without leveling up beforehand, so I never need to worry about collecting my death spot every time I try the fight again.

 

I've had quite a few situations where I lost some that I was upset about losing haha, but they were always in situations where like, it was in a dungeon-esque area and wasn't hard to get em back pretty immediately

Hardly a punishment

 

Like I said before if I’m even close to getting to the next level I just leave the area completely and level up since I know there’s graces everywhere.

 

This is the way.

 

The number of times I have lost a lot of runes: I don’t have enough fingers and toes.

 

Generally my rule is if I'm carrying over 3/4 the runes it would take me to level up, I just grind out the rest of the runes before exploring anywhere new. I never go into a boss battle with runes at this point

 

I would literally intentionally die if a state of marika near the boss so I can go into boss fights with like 0 runes so no risk at all

 

red fox pissing me off. it’s annoying having a boss relatively “far” from a checkpoint with no marika

 

that was the harshest and most annoying checkpoint in the game. so many pot shots the burger king ass looking dudes can take lmao

 

i’ve gotten pretty good timing rolls and sprinting to avoid them but i still end up having to use a flask before the fox

 

Yeah this but it’s also like, I always know when I’m putting myself in that situation lol

 

both shitty Graces in the game are in the Academy lol

 

I think that’s the case 99% of the time. But there are a few occasions where something caught me off guard. I won’t mention any specifics for spoiler sake.

 

The Academy would never put up statues of Marika, unfortunately for us lol

 

that little lore was pretty funny to learn

 

Maybe I’m nuts but I think elden ring is quite relaxing to play most of the time

I never start a boss fight unless I’m willing to leave whatever runes I have on the ground. Gets annoying trying to pick them up every attempt

 

Any time there isn't a Stake of Marika near a boss, it's for lore reasons

 

I’m going to love when I eventually get the worst possible ending because I did absolutely 0 quests for anyone besides become the elden lord

 

Ranni’s quest isn’t AWFUL…

The fight with Alest was tough but manageable

 

the rooftops are absolutely fucked. so many random unspeakably long drops

 

Platforming has never been From’s strong point.

 

And yet they keep putting it in every game lol

the confidence…
