CURRENT SCORES Standstill: 2 JB: 7 ---------- Shadow: 2 Scraped Knees: 7 ---------- The Goodbye Song (1998): 8 Certain: 1 ---------- Passing Time (1998): 9 My Solution: 0 I must admit I really don't like anything from before the self-titled album, basically everything they released when they were known as "A" New Found Glory.
Nothing Gold Can Stay has some good stuff on it (especially The Goodbye Song), but yeah everything before the self-titled was basically just a proof-of-concept for what the band could be
It's All About The Girls was the very first thing I ever downloaded after my friend put WinMX on my computer back in 2002 maybe. It's mostly just a nostalgia listen now, but I always liked Standstill and My Solution a lot. I definitely understand why people don't care for anything before the self-titled but for me NGCS has always been in my top 3 for their discography. I think the songs are all well-written and there is something about the production that I find endearing.
JB - I like that guitar thing there at the end Scraped Knees - that bassline is fun. The Goodbye Song ('98) - Gang vocals, nostalgic outro; easy pick. Passing Time ('98) - It was hard picking the less grating one >.> A lot of cool, emotive moments but definitely a rough listen.
