Sunday at midnight EST. Never heard of a streaming service that does this haha. Usually it's 3 AM EST or 9 PM for most streaming shows I've watched. As a night owl, I'm happy it wasn't on a work night.
Well, on Lost he was always Man in Black no matter how many times he changed form lol. Fun premiere! I’m excited to get to watch this week to week now.
Interesting catch I read online…the MIY’s suite case is the same one Tabitha found in the caves in 2x1.
Decided this will be my new marathon watch. Wasn’t quite sold on episode one but am interested to see where it goes!
Didn't love the premier, to be honest. I thought the scene where they were trying to get the two out of the car dragged forever. Easily could have been cut by 5 minutes and you wouldn't have lost anything. I'm also finding it near impossible to remember everything that's happening, lol
Damn, the monsters making the kids find Jim was fuckedd. Also found it funny that Sarah wasn't like "wait, why is Sophia trying on every pair of glasses like it's a fashion statement and not whether they actually help her see???" Guess there is only one glasses prescription in this universe lol
The cop is such a cop. They really get cops on this show. Also, called the bag switch and was just like that's super fucked up.
Btw this is the first time I've watched From with an actual MGM+ subscription and God that logo is obnoxious. I'm used to TV channels showing logos in the corner, but this is by far the largest I've ever seen.
Almost done with season 2! This show took forever to pick up the pace but I’ve been really liking it since the episode where Boyd killed the monster with his blood
Finished S3 after a friend begged me to catch up so we can watch the new eps together and now I'm waiting for him to let me know when we watch the first 2 of s4. I've been entertained and I'm fully hooked now, but a few things annoy me about the show. Obviously (and I suppose you could argue this a little) the lack of real answers, and just piling mysteries on top of each other, and it tends to forget things happened, or fail to reference them for a weird amount of time. I won't go into spoilers but some major plot threads appear to just be dropped at times or aren't given the impact that they should have. I also really dislike the editing in a lot of episodes. It jumps between characters and scenes in a jolting / jarring way and sometimes I wish we followed one thread for a little longer vs the constant 'and now we're over here, and oooohhh now back over here' etc and the way that some scenes are cut off, it feels like a few seconds too soon. As much I normally hate meandering, mystery box shows that stall on answers, the fact that it's announced to end in S5 makes me hopeful that the plan is there and things will come together nice and beautifully. It's also amazing how much I love and hate some characters. Again no spoilers, but some characters just absolutely suck and can't become monster food soon enough.
Thoughts on episode 4x03… People didn’t like this episode…? My takeaways from episode 3…(spoilers) Victor recognizes the yellow jacket of The Man in Yellow and is TERRIFIED. Either he gets bad vibes or he’s encountered him before. Sophia (TMIY) is already getting them to “tear themselves apart” by putting Kenny against Julie. Something is up with those crows!!!! This is the second time the show has acknowledged the Boy in White aging (and not just the actor lol). Why is he aging now after all this time? Could it be Ethan was here in another cycle, like his mom was? And that’s how he “made up” the Lake of Tears, like Tabitha dreamed of the red stones? That ending scene…the other instances of resurrection or rebirth have been “Smiley” and people seeing ghosts, like the pastor.Anything important I missed…?
It had some great character moments but overall this episode felt full of a lot of filler and not enough really happened. Just sucked after waiting for a week lol. Still enjoyed it well enough though
My thoughts and highlights on today’s episode It’s confirmed MIY is doing the voices people are hearing in their heads. He fully has Sara back in his control now after that test. We know the thing Fatima is making is a golem. MIY came to town in a car like a regular person when Victor was a kid. They trusted him and he massacred them. Julie story walks and sees him eating Victor’s mom. She tries to do a bookmark test, but it fails. She also cuts her hair to the length it’s at when Jim is killed in the season three finale. Donna gives a talk to Tabitha and is foreshadowing (at least to me) she’s going to sacrifice herself for someone at the end of the season. Someone is trying to communicate with Boyd via the ring with an infinity symbol that the cycle is repeating. The lake by the settlement could be the Lake of Tears and Ethan is testing it by healing an injured bird…? Some extra pulls a rope from the ground and something comes out of the lake. Maybe bodies…? What did I miss?
Excited to watch the new ep when I get home. Season 4 has been excellent so far, esp the Man in Yellow and storywalking plots. I’m dying to know what was in the lake at the end of last episode too
