the little guitar solo thing in Awful Things is such a moment

 

That’s probably my favorite moment on the whole record tbh. So excited for it to be fall, feels wrong spinning Absent Sounds any other time of year!

Awful Things is one of the most haunting songs. I remember reading that Joey wrote a lot of the Absent Sounds stuff around 3-4am and that song especially has that vibe.

 

I think it's safe for me to say Absent Sounds is my favorite. That being said I'm ready for a new album! He's been doing two year cycles, so I hope that continues

 

My hot take of the evening is that the efbn tapes are the best in their discog
