FIL is so fucking good, goddamn. Just on point for 60 minutes, zero banter except for a couple moments where Joey commented on how shitty banter is. Haha. This new record is gonna be crazy. Every cut off it just soared live. Boring crowd though. Got "Your Son" as the encore, he went off setlist, so that was dope as hell

 

Oh awesome, I'm gonna see these guys next week. Excited about that set list breakdown -- I love me some Absent Sounds.

I got to see them on a one off show during an off day on their tour with Tokyo Police Club and they were great.

 

Thought this came out today. Bummer.

What's the vibe of the new album. Closer to Absent or Able ?

 

If it's closer to Able, I will be so so so surprised

 

It's calmer like the last one. but wayyy different than any of their past stuff. lots of very interesting analog sounding synths. best thing they've done by far. I was a passive fan of their previous work.

 

the synth on "bare it" is gorgeous.

i'm getting Threads vibes from this which definitely isn't a bad thing.

 

10/10 would drive alone at night thinking about my failed relationship again

 

cymbals have stagnated for a while (and gotten smaller) after peaking on their first record sizewize, this band is finally crossing over into critical acclaim

 

I'm sold

Come Back is also my favorite here, and by like a mile. Definitely a lot of cool stuff on this though
