he's said it's more or less supposed to be a soundtrack for the aesthetic of his friend's clothing design company "Fresh Cut Flowers".
Just got an email that Joey is dropping a single this Friday under his solo stuff. I’m pretty interested and thought y’all might be too!
Single is cool, the acoustic singer-songwriter thing is a good look on him. Wonder if he’ll be putting out an EP or something soon
If anyone needs a push to join Joey’s Patreon, we just got a Kawasaki backflip cover and it’s pretty tight. Lol
already signed up haha. Didn't realize he was releasing songs over the last year either. Going down his twitter timeline now. Some great stuff...
Yessss! If the singles are any indication, this might be might favorite Joey thing since Absent Sounds. Really excited to hear the whole thing.
Pumped. The vibes are so From Indian Lakes-y, I'm anticipating this as I'd anticipate a From Indian Lakes album.
5 of the songs are already on his Youtube. I think I posted a couple of them above already but you can find Houseplants, Your Love and Can You Be Mine on there too.
Full album is now available everywhere. I really love it. He posted it to Patreon members earlier this week so been spinning it all week.
Fascinating how Joey is one of my favorite artists of all-time, but his stuff always has to grow on me. I think this is going to take a few listens. Except for "Actor". That's instantly one of the best things I've ever heard by him.
Been listening to the solo album all week. Joey is an all time great artist man. Everything he writes is gold. He/FIL should be massive.
A lot of the mid section of Dimly Lit isn't my speed, but Joey is so underrated. Only given the solo record a few spins but really been enjoying it as well. Surprised he never took off.
I’m the same. Probably my least favourite FIL, although still accomplished. This solo album and Everything Feels Better Now are both much more my vibe.
I feel like I can never find anyone who's heard of From Indian Lakes. Then when I do, half the time they don't like From Indian Lakes. It's weird. I mean, I get not being over the moon, but I don't really get what doesn't click for people?
