I second that! But the drums on Heroine really fell short in terms of what they could have sounded like. Instead I felt the drums sounded more like they had some room mics rather an actually mic'd up kit.
That was great. **Also obligatory Kenneth Copeland is a fucking con artist who’s getting high on his own paint comment**
What an epic soundtrack that was. I was just listening to Autopilot Off and Letter Kills this past weekend too!
I think so? I know they started a social media presence via Instagram and Facebook which is cool but there hasn’t been anything hinted at for new music? I hope so though, The Bridge still has some serious bangers.
Matt was singing again as of last year and Sonny is probably even busier now than he usually is, so very unlikely
Some of the FFTL stuff with Matt is cool but most of it is largely forgettable IMO and whenever I do randomly put FFTL on - it’s either Heroine or their later singles with Sonny.
I’ve seen people say with Sonny and some say without. But there was that thing a few weeks ago going around where someone made a comment about more fftl stuff and Sonny replied with the eyes. I know it’s small but it’s hope.
Still remain baffled by their activity in the last ten years, between building up their return for so long to then announce out of nowhere the Periphery guy would now sing on Dead Trees instead of Matt... only for them to abandon the album and ghost him a year later. Or that anticlimactic reunion with Sonny that gave way to their worst songs ever. Just hope they get it right this time. I much prefer their material with Matt on lead vocals so I'm hoping for something in the vein of Throne To The Wolves.
Same, musically they were tight but the lyrics were so bad. Let's not forget the infamous: Who was that inside you That made me feel so cock strong?
yea but I never put my arms up and look to the sun with more fervor than when I hear “what your Snapchat put me through.”
commented in the post-hardcore thread but they definitely were listening to a lot of recent BMTH with this one.
