Dear diary is my personal favorite but heroine is clearly their best. Just an insane sophomore effort

 

Dead Trees is awesome, the title track and Spencer's versions of Note To Self, Ride The Wings and Latest Plague especially. Not that they replace Sonny's versions but I'm super happy we have both

 

the title track alone is extremely catchy and goes hard musically as well

plus IMO Ernie Slenkovich on the drums blows away Derek Bloom

Throne is the answer. G.R.I.T.S transition into Going Lohan always gets me hyped up.

 

Speaking of Throne, does anyone know why it is missing from Apple Music?

 

Lil Lotus is their new singer

 

Any news on this posted anywhere? I am curious what this means. New album, tour, etc....

 

Lil Lotus actually makes a lot of sense - I’m interested to hear what some new stuff with him would sound like.

 

His track with SKSK on their comeback album was my favorite, his voice with that style of music works and it was really catchy

 

I'm not sure if he's now their official, full-time lead vocalist just yet, but he's at least doing it live for the foreseeable.

 

The first comment on his Instagram post asks if it's permanent and he says yes

 

I just want Thrones tour… and maybe a new album. Is that so much to ask?

I’ve wondered what happened to If I Die First since they sounded pretty much like a FFTL 2.0 so I guess that’s done making way for this?

 

If I'm remembering correctly, most of the other members of IIDF started another band called Cleanse which is way more Deftones-y but that band hasn't released anything since 2024 either. So I guess either they're both done or (copium) on the back burner for now
