First band I ever saw headline. Seeing short stories love with the girl from Azure Ray was fucking amazing.

Only ever listened to Wolf but it was one of the first albums I ever bought with screaming on it. Still dig it!

IMO Holding a Wolf is the best FATA album by a long stretch. It’s probably my favorite heavy music album.

I still hate we never got any additional albums with Francis Mark as lead vocalist.

The thing I loved about Holding A Wolf By The Ears is that it genuinely sounds like Francis is going insane whenever he screams. It never felt like "well this part is screamed because that's what the genre calls for", it legit sounded like he was losing his fucking mind and it's part of what made that album so great

Holding a Wolf By the Ears was my first entry into the band. Always hoped that they'd follow-up w/ something after that album. Assuming that ship has sailed and they went off on a high note.

Wolf is their best record as far as I’m concerned and I’ve been a fan ever since Too Bad You’re Beautiful.

They announced an EP was on the way over a year ago so here’s to hoping!

My first time hearing that they were working on new material. That's exciting.

This band got better on every release if you ask me.

Wolf > Abandon Your Friends > The Fiction We Live > Too Bad You’re Beautiful

Fiction is for sure a classic but AYF is a much more musically interesting record with some stellar tracks. I also hate Autumn’s Monologue lol

i think abandon your friends has kind of a wonky flow but i love that very misunderstood album regardless. think fran's songs offer a lot of variety and flesh it out really nicely

    i hit it like this:

    1. where do you draw the line
    2. vicious cockfight
    3. sugar wolf
    4. the funny thing about getting pistol whipped is...
    5. placentapede
    6. jack + ginger
    7. abandon your friends
    8. kansas city 90210
    9. streamline
    10. inapprope
    11. long to go
    12. short for show

basically "what if led zeppelin iii of post hardcore"

I’m listening to FATA discography today while I’m packing for a move so I’ll give this sorting a listen!

Just gave it a listen and it works pretty well! I only have a few tweaks I would make:

    1. Where Do You Draw The Line
    2. Vicious Cockfight
    3. Sugar Wolf
    4. The Funny Thing About Getting Pistol Whipped Is..
    5. Placentapede
    6. Inapprope
    7. Abandon Your Friends
    8. Kansas City 90210
    9. Streamline
    10. Jack and Ginger
    11. Short for Show
    12. Long to Go

ill have to try this too! ill admit short for show might be an odd closer choice but i like the idea of sending off bens last album with a song that features him so prominently, that was kinda my thinking there

i return once again for i am on my way to see these guys in long island and am beyond stoked, as well as very curious how all the old songs are gonna translate with fran doing all the vocals. should be a really special night

also found the interview where they talked about the new stuff. sounds like when they were supposed to rehearse for shows but got blocked by lockdown they used that time to kick around like 3 songs which have been in development over the last few years. really hope we get to hear those one day
