Acts of Man is their single greatest song, but with very stift competition

 

I think "Floating in the Forth" is my favourite song by them, with "Good Arms vs Bad Arms" and "Yes I Would" coming in close behind.

I've never gotten around to listening to this band before and this is their only thread, but I am just about finished with The Midnight Organ Fight and holy shit this album is a devastating listen. I love it

Teared up during My Backwards Walk. This album was just one big heartbreak and now I'm diving into The Winter Of Mixed Drinks

 

I still haven't listened to this one yet. PV is my favorite tho, although both that and TMOF are pretty excellent

New songs coming Friday, not sure if we're getting an album or an EP or just a few songs. I would love it if a new album was coming soon though.

 

3 new tracks on the EP and they are quite good. these guys have a lot of great non album material and this just adds to that

 

Listened to the new songs on the way to work and quite enjoyed them.

I love Aaron and The National so much, but it's nice to hear a return to the less polished/slick production.

 

About to check out the new EP

Just wanted to note for anyone who hasn't listened yet, "Fields of Wheat" is a stunner. For a slow song, the guitar work is so interesting, and the lyrics are poignant as ever.

hope we get a new album announcement this year as well. i think this album has ended up being my 2nd favorite. its real good
