I had my own internal setup and punchline from realizing I had heard that song before from middle school and then realizing it was Slipknot and then finally arriving to the punchline that they used Wait and Bleed to signify Paul Rudd’s character is cool and subversive. Lol.

 

finally seeing this today

 

This was an absolute riot and my friends and I all loved it. Subway scene was probably the hardest I’ve laughed at a movie in a long time, but there were several other scenes that got really close. Tim is just so so good at the small interjections in the scenes

 

Saw this tonight and was just dying at so many lines. Other than my wife and I there were only two other couples in the whole theater so I was worried there wouldn’t be much of a reaction, but as soon as the first real jokes started landing about the orgasms I knew I had fellow ITYSL fans in there with me and it was a good time.

“It’s the same meal Seal Team Six had after they killed Osama.”
“I can’t eat all this fuckin’ food.”

The whole bit when Rudd’s wig comes off in the jail cell and he’s scrambling to put it back on, repeatedly asking Craig if it looks right while Craig keeps looking away and answering:

“Yeah.”
“No, but does it -“
“Yeah.”

My chest hurt from laughing.

Okay well I preordered the blu ray for that 12 minute scene alone

 

once it's in 4k I'm slamming that order button

unfortunately it won't be (at least physically). there's a digital 4K version, but if they were releasing a physical UHD, it would be put up at the same time as the 1080p Blu-ray. i'd go ahead and order it now.

Funny, been a while since I laughed that hard at a new movie.

 

Jimp got me good. Tim calling them fuckin rats then jumping through the window maybe made me laugh the hardest. I’m a sucker, any time he got a degree too mad about losing his phone/getting dirty I laughed pretty hard.

 

You know it’s a good movie when I can read through this thread laughing my ass off remembering all the good moments

 

Shot very well too. The scene where Kate Mara tells him she is leaving is the perfect lighting for a shitty winter Sunday afternoon lol

 

The soundtrack is still in rotation with usual music listening.

I know it comes out on digital tomorrow, but I actually have a night off from any responsibilities and a less expensive theater 30 minutes from me is showing it tonight so I'm seeing it on the big screen, baby.

 

Def benefits if there are others in the theater laughing too
