This looks great, definitely gave me Banshee vibes, odd trailer though… almost seems fake lol

 

Yeah that trailer’s got the strangest tone. It reminds me of one of those reimagined trailers on YouTube like “Mrs. Doubtfire as a horror movie” or whatever. Which, knowing the people involved in this, is probably the exact intention lol. Movie’s gonna rock

 

I haven’t watched it in my phone or laptop but on my TV’s YouTube app the trailer had a really weird digital look and the way the trailer was cut together it looked 100% like a fake trailer.

 

The marvel line at the end seems like an odd way to end a trailer for a movie like this

Seeing this on the 28th!!! I didn’t realize it was coming so soon.

 

I’m seeing this tonight! I feel like I never get to see things early and I couldn’t be happier that the one time I do it’s for THIS.

 

I don’t want to say too much! I’m very curious to see how I feel about the movie when I’m not watching it surrounded by people who love Tim as much as I do and laughing at every line and facial expression, but it was an extremely good experience. The movie was actually weirder and more unhinged than I expected - mostly in a good way - and if you don’t like Tim Robinson you will fucking hate it (there were times when his schtick felt a bit stretched thin to me but luckily it didn’t quite get all the way there). Definitely felt like a cult movie if it can’t already be considered one lol.

Not a spoiler if you’ve read the cast list or watched the trailer: Connor’s only in it for a few minutes which was disappointing but man he really is an absolute treasure.

 

Is it true that Rudd isn’t in it much either?

 

Hate that this is only a limited release next week. Not a single theater near me is playing it in ME, NH or MA. Closest is Cambridge ffs.

 

I would say this is not true, to the point that I initially thought your question might be a joke, haha. He’s not in it as much as Tim but he gets the second most amount of screen time.

 

I'm so excited to be seeing this soon

May 23 I think it is supposed to go wide. A24 should put it in a good amount of theaters. This week it is still in limited release

 

Got tickets for Monday. Stoked.

 

I am not in a place in my life right now where I want to drive to Burbank or Century City to watch this. I hope the wider release puts this out enough where it reaches the LA burbs.
