so i always put this show on while doing random stuff around the house and never pay attention to the opening credits, but on an early season 6 episode, like, half the cast has "Arquette" added to their last name. no way that can be correct, right? but if it was an issue it would be fixed before being put on Netflix, right? weird seeing "Matthew Perry Arquette", "Matt LeBlanc Arquette", "David Schwimmer Arquette".
i'll try and find the exact episode it did it on and post tomorrow. maybe i was just really tired or there was an issue with netflix itself, but it was bizarre to see.
Pretty sure it was a inside joke done by the crew to acknowledge Courtney getting married and changing her name between seasons.
There was definitely an episode, after Courteney changed her name, that had everyone with the -Arquette in the credits Edit: Yep, The One After Vegas
Lol the ep where phoebe has false alarm contractions and they tell Rachel to get the book and she brings the bible. that's the sorta dumb thing I do under pressure
The episode - more specifically the "competition" scene to see who will crack - when Phoebe attempts to seduce Chandler to get him to admit he's sleeping with Monica is one of the greatest scenes in television. Everything about that scene is amazing and it goes on for like, 7 minutes. The dialogue, facial expressions, Joey opening Phoebe's blouse without tearing off any buttons, Monica cleaning up the bathroom while hiding inside, etc. it's just so, so perfect. Could watch that scene a thousand times and never tire of it.
I love when Ross is trying to think of all fifty states and he's crouched down and has them all cut out of paper and just cannot figure it out. Chandler tells him it's not a big deal and he can eat if he wants to without guessing the missing states and Ross makes the funniest frustration/exhaustion noise and just crouches back down, hahahaha That scene popped in my head the other day and I can't stop thinking about it.
I have a growing, irrational hatred of the continuity error (can't think of a better term right now) of Ross's apartment in contrast to Monica's. Whenever someone is in Ross's apartment and they look out the window, they look UP at Monica's and yet the person at Ross's can somehow see exactly what's happening in Monica's lol Worst I've seen so far is the season 8 Thanksgiving episode. Monica somehow seems exactly where the dog and what it's doing yet she is clearly looking UP from Ross's. There's no way anyone would be able to see what they always claim they see! (Note: this doesn't actually make me hate anything, but it's so ridiculous that I almost wonder if they kept it and used it so much after awhile as an inside joke or something)
Every time I watch the one with Joey's big break I think, with no hint of irony, that I would watch Shutter Speed
I've been watching Friends every night when I go to bed for years and I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Although some of my DVDs are so worn out that they freeze, so there's a bunch of episodes I haven't seen in forever haha. I should probably just buy a new collection.
Some Friends thoughts: The Emily wedding stuff is ridic. Why would Rachel even attend the reception after that? Even beyonder ridic to have Rachel go on the honeymoon. It's gross how manipulative Ross is during his breakup with rachel. He's like waaah you bailed when things got tough. Okay but you SLEPT WITH SOMEONE ELSE when things got tough. The way he puts it all on her is icky. I hate the one where Chandler proposes to Monica and there's that random Richard drama for the sake of drama. We all know she's not gonna choose Richard. I always skip that episode.
I will forever find "The one where no one's ready" to be the funniest episode of the series. "THE CUSHIONS ARE THE ESSENCE OF THE CHAIR." "THAT'S RIGHT I'M TAKING THE ESSENCE." http://gph.is/1OX1Mh6 Edit: Mobile won't let me post the gif directly in. Boo.
I can’t believe I ever went out with somebody who would actually have an open flame in the middle of a wooded area
That's an all-time great ep for sure, but I think "The one with the embryos" will always hold the No. 1 spot in my heart.
I am moving tomorrow and I am so hyped to reenact this. The stairs are super narrow so it will be my moment to shine
That's amazing! I'm currently in the process of moving my fiancee in and she's very overwhelmed. I plan on surprising her by doing this to make her smile and have some fun with it!
