i think S7 Matthew Perry is the most jarring of his physical appearances because I think that's when he had lost a ton of weight due to addiction struggles and had been in rehab.

Joey asking Gunther if he's seen Chandler and Gunther responding "I thought you were Chandler" still kills me.

The One with Chandler in a Box is a favorite.

 

Ross had a lot of different hairstyles through the years iirc

I've already binged the whole series since the reunion came out and on my second lap haha. Love this fucking show.

 

Another observation. As a kid I would've said chandler was the "funniest" and now if I had to rank them...hed be...2nd last

They all have thousands of moments but to me, Ross is the clear cut number 1. Phoebe and Joey never fail in their shticks. Monica hit her stride the middle seasons before she dated chandler... pretty much when she wasn't dating Richard or chandler she had some great moments.

Chandler sarcasm is too obvious as the years go on.

You're the only person I've seen who would put Ross #1. I want you to know you're not alone as I also place him #1. He is the most insufferable, immature, selfish member of the friends - but that's what makes him realistic. I've met people like him and never me a Joey, Chandler, Rachel, Phoebe, or Rachel.

 

I think Ross is the best actually

 

People online, especially younger ones, complain about Friends so much and Ross in particular saying he's annoying and the worst and possessive, which are all true, but they fail to see that's kind of the point? He's a terribly flawed human being that is genuinely good at heart, but needs a lot of reassurance and education from his peers and partners. He's someone who is very real and while I think he's not deserving of Rachel because he's selfish and puts his needs first, I can also see why someone would be with him.

I think there's a lot to these characters that make them relatable because you can see a lot of people you know in them. I know a lot of people who have all had that friend who is a good friend but not a good boyfriend and that strikes me as Ross sometimes haha

Too difficult for me to pick an actual favorite character though

 

I think the problem is treating Ross and Rachel as endgame when they can't have a normal relationship when she was his first crush

 

If we're talking funniest, Ross is by far #1.

 

David is the best at physical humor and he and Lisa are both great at line reading

 

David smacking himself in the face trying to pull up his leather pants is gold
