What’s the moment this show jumped the shark with Joey being stupid? The hand twin episode was just on and I’m thinking that may be it. He was doing stupid things way before Season 5 obviously but I’m having trouble thinking of something more ridiculous.

 

Hey! I found my identical hand twin a few months ago and it was a very beautiful moment!

 

The answer is never. Joey is perfect.

 

Joey going from doing live theater to not being able to remember lines is the closest, remembering monologues is hard

 

I mean I love the character but the French episode was straight up dumb. I laughed at it the first few times I saw it but the further away it got the more I realized how stupid that was haha

 

I was going to say the French thing stood out to me as well. They all got flanderized for sure, but he got it in less believable ways than some of the others.

It also leads to a lot of really annoying threads and clickbait articles with people thinking those were always visible.

 

tbh i feel like i've always seen a lot of boom mics in the shot but maybe that is because they mess with the ratio.

i mean, it's a sitcom filmed on a live stage, it always has had an element of live theater to it and seeing the stage wouldn't change it too much really

 

Wild about the stage being visible. The other annoying thing about the HD versions is they cut quite a bit of content as well.

I remembered one today: Rachel says she and Ross never had “bonus night” in season 7 but they clearly did in Season 4

 

BUT HOW COULD MONICA AND RACHEL AFFORD THEIR APARTMENT?!?!
