Ross is increasingly manic as the series wears on into the later seasons, and I love that David Schwimmer just goes all in. *Ding* MY FAJITAS!
It's funny how at first Joey seemed like the worst one but his actions are the only ones that actually get called out as bad and he's one of the more developed characters by the end. Writers of this show are still cowards. Rachel should've been with Joey. You know who would've gone to Paris? Joey.
Rachel and Joey have zero chemistry. THEY EVEN WROTE AN EPISODE ABOUT IT! If anything, Joey and Phoebe were made for each other. Both are ditzy, horny, caring people. I like to think they would have made each other very happy.
Joey annoyed me in the first few seasons because he was written like a sterotypical numbskull with a heart of gold, but somewhere he clicked for me and I loved him by the end. Second hot take I have, in addition to liking Ross, is that I never really cared for Phoebe. The jokes the writers wrote for her can be seen from a mile away and it drove me nuts.
I always read that in a fun, playful, friendship kinda way. That's interesting, I didn't know that. My girlfriend is my source of Friends knowledge and she says it's widely known that people didn't like the Joey/Rachel storyline.
Question about Joey If he was such a dumbass how did he handle live theater, I feel like they just figured that's what New York actors did
Yeah, that's why they switched and why I hate people haha. It made so much more sense, they were far better together, and both characters actually developed separately and together.
Now I have to debate if I wanna argue about friends or go do work hmmmmm Joey and Rachel didn’t work together. It never fit right. I’ll start there.
I mean, they did work together. They dated for an extended amount of time and ended up together in the end. Joey and Rachel flamed out in what, a few weeks? A month?
Okay we keep coming back to that but my argument is the writer's literally choked and walked back on that decision. So bringing up the episodes where they started to do that isn't quite relevant. I also don't think Ross/Rachel worked well together in the slightest. Most of his plots with her (and her plots with Joey, and pretty much every other guy) was him being immature in one way or another.
I never got what Rachel saw in Ross, was it that he was tall is it a Pete Davidson thing Just like bad personality and not even cute
I never understood Rachel being into Ross either other than the fact that they had history, which was sentimental. But facts are facts: he didn't treat her well.
