Going to an airport to confess your love was big in the 90s

 

Its wild watching stuff that took place in airports before 9/11

 

Post-9/11 sitcoms:

 

Do you all remember when they first released the entire series on DVD as one box set and it was like $300 lol

 

Very vividly because I bought it for my mom for Christmas because she loves the show and she goes, "great, when will I watch this? Should I quit my job so I can watch it? You know I work 60 hours a week! I'll never have time for this!"

Also remember because it came in awful packaging that always made me hate complete series sets.

 

I also remember paying like $35 for each seasons of Seinfeld. Ah, the good old days!

 

plus Chandler flying to Yemen to avoid Janice which in hindsight was a real dick move, I've grown to appreciate Janice a lot more she's fun and has a great personality

I think I read that Matthew Perry lost that weight in between seasons is because he went to rehab to quit drugs and alcohol

 

I don't think phoebe's brother counts. Like yeah they prob just decided to reuse the actor but realistically if they had met for one second on the street I don't think they'd recognize each other. I don't remember every stranger I briefly encounter

 

I know sitcoms and dramas in the 80s and 90s would frequently cast the same actors for different one-off parts in different seasons.

 

Friends even acknowledges it in the episode where Phoebe is an extra in difference scenes/episodes of joeys show!

 

So Apparently THAT Episode Of "Friends" Was Secretly Paid For By Pottery Barn And We're All Living A Lie

 

That def confirms what I always felt. I had never heard of pottery barn until the episode and I guess it worked on me in a sense because while I have never bought anything from them I get excited and quote the episode when I see one so I feel like it elevated the brand in my head

 

the thing with her sister was because they couldn't get Reese Witherspoon because she became a movie star so they had to rewrite the episode to include Christina Applegate

 

I didn’t click the link so I don’t know if it’s in there.....but I just realized the other day that one of the nurses there for Carol while she’s giving birth is Estelle.
