It was inevitable. This will be a fun way to rewatch the show though. Haven’t seen it in a long while.
I don't really have time for another TV podcast but it would be rad if they had Ace Enders and Dan Campbell on to talk about Clear Eyes Fanzine.
Watching this again for the idk 5th time? Braved through season 2, a trainwreck, it makes season 3 even more enjoyable though, just finished S3E4 when Smash gets the tryout and gets accepted to Texas A&M and its such a fucking good episode. Wholesome and a great payoff. I love this show, nothing else like it.
It is so awkward how season three just forgot about Santiago. The formula was always that 3-4 players on the team were actually important to the plot. Sometimes the announcers in the game don't even call other players by a name.
One of my favorite pieces of trivia about the show is that Jesse Plemons, portrayed as goofy and barely a player, was the actor with the most significant football experience.
@Morrissey Did you ever listen to the podcast they did for this a few years back? Worth listening to? Oof, quick google shows it was cancelled relatively early and was pretty bad. Maybe reddit is just hating hard.
I have never watched any of those types of shows. I never really watched commentary back in the DVD days. It takes away from the magic of watching something.
The best scene in the show. A show that that usually ends each season with the highs of the state championship feeling like the most important event in their lives and the alpha male gives it all up after realizing what is truly important.
I am not a Texas expert so I cannot confirm whether or not it’s better than Philly but Philly isn’t the best overall.
I gave him the authentic Philadelphia recommendations. But I am the Philly expert of the site and I believe maybe the only true born, raised and currently living Philadelphian to post on here
Nice! I was a North guy also cause poor but too dumb for Prep. Feel free to not answer but where do you teach now?
Haha yeah grew up basically down the street. I think their steaks are overrated but the prov pie is top 3 in the city imo
