It's decent. The humor is very Ryan Reynolds "Well...that happened"/"This tastes like (random thing) (verbed) a (random thing)." But it kind of plays it like "Elf" meets "The Truman Show," which is a fun angle. And Reynolds and Comer are super charming. In better hands, this would be great. But it's still solid.
it’s so-so. with maybe another rewrite of the script and way better filmmaker than levy i think this could’ve been really fun. i enjoyed jodie comer and especially one specific cameo but i found myself getting impatient at certain points
it's hilarious that Disney made a movie where the bad guy is taking the art of brilliant talented indie creators and desecrating them by making them bland ip lol Taika's dialogue was so bad but he was so much fun as someone who doesn't game I had a hard time believing that Free City would be that big Jodie ,Joe, and Ryan were all cute together; this used Ryan's inner blandness and smirkiness well did Millie have a job lol, regardless I of course want to be best friends with someone who stans Mariah but also Arcade Fire and Tame Impala Lil Rel is just in every movie being delightful huh Guy and Buddy's apartments were way too nice
i enjoyed seeing the trailers to both of ridley's films more than everyone in the actual feature presentation (save, again, THAT cameo)
A very pleasant time at the movies. Obviously could’ve been better but for an $8 matinee screening it was a fun, if substance-free, movie.
Also trying to figure out the timeline of when this was filmed related to the Disney-Fox acquisition. Was all that stuff with Marvel and Star Wars added in reshoots?
this might have been the worst movie I've ever seen. no more clearer indictment of this era than the scene with the MCU and star wars tie ins.
Last Friday of the month we show a movie to the students. If I watch a piece of garbage near the end of the month you now know why.
This is going on Disney+ 2/23. This seems like a good "yeah i guess i'll watching this on a streaming service if I'm bored" type movie.
