Set in Boston in 1978, a meeting in a deserted warehouse between two gangs turns into a shootout and a game of survival. Starring Cillian Murphy, Michael Smiley, Brie Larson, Armie Hammer, Sam Riley, and Enzo Cilenti. Scorsese has an Executive Producer credit. It's been picked up by A24. Expect it to premiere the fall festival circuit, but no hint on theatrical release yet. I'm suspecting a similar release schedule to High Rise.
Although beautiful to look at, I was pretty disappointed in High-Rise -- hopefully this makes up for that, great premise.
Looks fantastic. Wheatley is hit or miss for me (actually liked High Rise, didn't like Kill List) but this cast alone is worth it.
Alicia Vikander is Going to Hunt Down Monsters in Ben Wheatley’s Wildly Ambitious ‘Freakshift’ he announced his next project
The first trailer for this came out sooo early. It's going to be almost a full year by the time this is released
I liked this, I appreciated how Tarantino-esque it was, which some seemed to not like, funny how that works Hammer and Copley were great I don't think I've heard Cillian's natural speaking voice before it's quite pleasant this was my first Wheatley, I really wanted to see High Rise in theaters but I never got the chance and then forgot about it
Watch Kill List immediately and do not read anything about it A Field In England is brilliant but a subtle experience that leans on psychedelia and High Rise has a good film in there somewhere but Kill List is among my favorite movies of all time
Guess I should watch Kill List - Also haven't seen anything from Wheatley before but all of his films have peaked my interest when hearing about them.
