I agree that this album is incredible, but let's not throw shade to Gibbs' other work.

Just because this record is a 4.9, doesn't mean Shadow of a Doubt, Freddie and even You Only Live 2wice aren't solid 4+s.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

think this is better than Pinata honestly, highs aren't as high but it's more consistent and the features are better

This is fucking excellent, just as I expected. I do still like Pinata a little more so far (though this is growing on me more and more with each listen so who knows), I think the beats were better on that one. Freddie's rapping on here however is noticeably better (not that he wasn't already dope af), he really experiments and changes up his flows

I love how cohesive it is too, and while there aren't nearly as many features as Pinata, literally all of them fucking bring it. Pusha T probably has guest verse of the year so far

SO happy with how this turned out. I hope they do a full tour as a duo, I've never seen Freddie and I want to see Madlib almost as much

I like Piñata more because it sounds, uh, sunnier. This one is great too though.

I actually like the duskier feel of this one more, and also find it more consistent than Pinata, but both are excellent for sure

Yeah I can see why people like this one more for the same reason I like Piñata more, haha

That would be awesome. I've seen Freddie twice and he's one of the best live rappers I've ever witnessed. No backing track or hype men or any of that. Just Freddie and a DJ and he destroyed both times.

After listening again today I definitely agree with the sentiment that this is more consistent than Pinata but Pinata has higher highs for the most part

They're basically becoming equal for me right now

So! I've never listened to this artist before. This album sounds very similar in sections to work by the artist known as "Swum"....is he involved in this? Am I missing something? Some of the vibes and beats really remind me of Swum.
