I guess I haven’t stopped to consider that this was just a high concept performance piece that I just didn’t “get” But no that’s nonsense
Even if it was, it was a poorly executed art piece with obvious missteps and not a full performance. There’s no excuse for just not singing his own songs unless he wasn’t really there.
I have three friends who went and they all enjoyed it and I trust their opinion on it. They just simply said it was handled poorly but the things they did enjoy were very good.
i feel so bad for anyone who bought tickets for this weekend largely to see him but holy fuck (if you can ignore that that's probably a fairly significant number of people that are getting legitimately boned) this is absolutely hilarious
if you can afford to buy Coachella tickets I don’t feel THAT bad no offense especially if you buy them only for one artist
meh i feel like going to a fest for literally one artist is obviously a bad idea, but there are definitely single headliners that can make the value proposition of dropping $1000+ on a weekend completely swing to not worth it if they alone drop. (and to steve's point agreed I think $600 ticket for a lineup you're excited about is reasonable and doesn't mean someone paying that has infinite funds.) granted, i'm saying this as someone who was waiting for the lineup semi-seriously considering going knowing Frank was confirmed and then lost interest post lineup with the thought it was too pricy and too risky with a. how relatively uninteresting the rest was for me personally and b.when the main draw was someone notorious for canceling/half assing
