This all feels like a major PR push to save face. I don’t really buy it. Feels like a reaction to all the negativity about the performance.
I was going to mention the Lucy Dacus couch tour and hoped in my heart someone else had brought it up haha. Perfect example of how you can still put on a good show despite injury. Also I was not in attendance but the RATM show is also a great example. I remember a few years ago Dave Grohl injured his foot at an Foo Fighters show and came back on stage to finish the set as well. The statement just does not mean much.
But according to the source posted earlier in the thread, "Frank also personally pulled the plug at the last second on the live stream." So it is his fault.
I don’t believe @TheFestiveOwl sorry. I have worked in the festival industry, it is way more complicated than that.
So everyone else’s performance was live streamed except Frank’s which was cancelled the day off but it’s not Frank’s fault?
It’s not shocking but this is the only site I see people constantly make excuses for Frank and it’s weird. Not even his subreddit is defending him
Sure! But as a result of my experience with marketing festivals and running their livestreams, I have more industry knowledge than many of the folks speculating in this thread, which is what's informing my opinion.
I think even the most generous take is that he fucked up really bad. I’m going weekend two, I’d take zero stage setup and ice skating if he just shows up and actually sings the songs. If he’s gonna hit play and stand around I’d rather they bring in Miley.
