So there were 3 Channel Orange and 1 Blonde at my record store today. These are bootlegs correct?

Yep, this is also my take on The 1975 skit on ABIIOR, The Man Who Married a Robot. We get it, technology is ruining our relationships with the outside world, etc. etc.

Both skit tracks are fine and add to their respective albums imo

I regret opening my Black Friday Blonde Vinyl. Is it still worth much having been opened?

Yea definitely lol it’s going for $400 on discogs and I’ve never bought a record from there that wasn’t already opened. Idk how much more it would be worth unopened. But I would never understand not opening a record. I’d love to have Blonde on vinyl, I’ve never forgiven myself for not biting the bullet that day

Regret is a bit strong. I just meant looking on eBay and seeing what people try selling it for and feeling like I definitely could have come up. But I also love the album and having it, so it’s all good.

  13. I bet you could still fetch a cool $300 for it right now. I'm debating selling one of my duplicates now in case it goes to reprint.

I'd honestly pay like $150/200 cus that's still cheaper than other places

As someone who sold their opened BF Blonde vinyl on ebay a year ago for something like $360.... I suggest keeping it if you can.
I still have the BF screen print/poster which is nice but I miss that damn record haha

I had no idea prices for the Blonde vinyl were so crazy. I have a Black Friday copy, but I guess I always just assumed it'd probably get repressed somewhere along the line so I never like kept tabs on it. Do we think there's any chance of vinyl represses now that the magazine got reprinted?

I hope so because it’s my girlfriend’s and my favorite album. Idk WHY I decided not to buy it when it was available. Very bad decision.

I've got a bootleg but I'd jump on a repress in an instant. I still can't believe I didn't check this damn website ONCE that Black Friday. It haunts me

Just out of curiosity how does the bootleg sound? I've never bought bootleg vinyl is there like a huge dropoff in quality?

I wish I bought 2 copies of Blonde because mine is still sealed and I’m not sure I’ll ever open it

I can't tell the difference tbh, it sounds just fine to me! Every bootleg I've bought has sounded just like any other record to me. They're all pressed in an official plant and everything, it's just that plant is buying the license from the record label, it's not an official pressing. At least that's how I understand it.

I've debated buying a bootleg of Channel Orange, if I run across one for a decent price I probably will.

I'm not sure if this is standard everywhere but my local store usually sells them for $50. They've got Channel Orange but I've held off cause I'm really hoping for an official pressing. But I'm willing to bet next time I'm in there I splurge since last time I was there we were supposed to be getting a BF pressing :(
