Pyramids definitely my favorite Channel Orange song

Self Control definitely my favorite Frank Ocean song followed by Acura Integurl

 

I think Bad Religion has become my favorite at this point.

 

I like maybe half of Channel Orange. I haven't really been able to get into Blonde at all unfortunately.

 

Pink Matter and Lost are extremely good

CO and Blonde are a GKMC/TPAB situation for me

I love both so much that I honestly can't decide which is better, and I don't blame anyone for having either one as their favorite

 

I agree, it is a GKMC/TPAB situation. An album overhyped vs. an actual masterpiece. Tho idk if I'd call this a masterpiece quite yet

what just happened in this thread i KNOW there ain't people calling channel ORANGE boring

 

The lyricism ALONE on that record makes it a fascinating listen, without even the music which is also great on its own. No idea how people can think it's boring but to each their own I suppose.

 

I don't like Channel Orange save like 3 songs. I was off the Frank train but Blonde brought me back.

 

I never cared much for Channel Orange and everyone on AP gave me shit for it. Blonde is much more enjoyable to me

 

GKMC and channel orange are both babbys first [genre] albums like they're fine but the former falls apart without the skits because the narrative isn't coherent and the latter is over stuffed and too mired in its own "intellectual" bent to be effective. Like the lines on pink matter about the brain being a container for the mind...or the played out narrative of super rich kids like we need someone to tell us rich kids behave badly...or monks stage diving...like it just doesn't come together

 

The first verse on Pink Matter is great writing, including the Dragon Ball Z shout out.

Agree 100%. Siegfried is one of the best tracks I've heard in a very long time

 

I enjoy CO especially pyramids but can understand why some people don't like it/ think it's overrated. However GKMC is fantastic and don't understand some of the thoughts on it in here.

So I guess since I ordered my CD with my vinyl I won't get either until January. Ugh.

Never got a shipping confirmation for the vinyl despite the 12/5 shipping date I got when I bought it, so we'll see what happens.

Also this is my favorite album of the year by a huge margin.

 

This album has one of the better "growing on me" factors that I've had in a while. At first I liked it, but each listen it's really growing on me a lot...
