I'm definitely not as in love with it as the last Hop Along record but I really like it a lot and keep coming back to it

 

Went to LA is incredible but I really thought she was saying "Ebenezer second" at the end. like Scrooge II

Detroit Lake is my early favorite. I never know what's coming next in her vocal melodies. Outstanding shit.

 

I think this is what makes the cover so exciting. I know that song so well and I honestly never knew what she was going to do with the next line

She continues to be one of my favorite lyricists/vocalists out there right now, always keeps you just a little off kilter, but in the best ways. Can't really compare her to anyone else.
