Probably the catchiest of what he's released up to this point. Production feels a bit stale still, but this seems like an improvement.
I don't understand AT ALL what his plan is with this solo album. Seems like he's been talking about it for years, songs trickle out, he goes quiet on social media..........the whole thing is odd
The plan is that he isn't getting a hit song so he is re-jiggering the album/EP. It's obvious that the first few singles were hoping to take off, at least a little, then they didn't
Between Globetrotting Dates with Macklemore, Cincinnati's Eric Nally Has Been Plotting His Latest Recording Project, 'Full Moon' Sounds like his upcoming full length release will be entirely new material (not the singles he's been releasing). Hopefully it's an improvement. Eric described it as "theatrical," which is promising.
I wonder what makes a dude that talented, with a successful formula that seems to be working for him and the band, decide to go solo and put out a watered down version of what everyone popular is already doing Guy has a freakish voice and a fantastic stage presence - use those things to be unique brah
Not sure if you guys are familiar with The Struts, but they are doing a pretty similar version of what Foxy did (Queen-like vocals, glam rock, big choruses, etc), without the crazy stage show/eating cigarettes of course, and they are doing really well - they're not huge yet, but they are sorta headed that way I think. Kinda feel like Foxy could've had the same ascension if they had stuck with it. Those 2 albums, the self-titled and Welcome to The Church, are so so great. Thought they really lost the plot with Gonzo. I dig The Struts a great deal but it bums me out for Foxy/Eric because I think this was their niche and they missed the boat.
