I haven’t quite figured out the point of recording new music if it sounds bad and your fans don’t like it?
It's crazy that these guys have released FOUR albums in less than five years. I just wish they could figure out how to make them sound better than rough demo tapes...
maybe we can get Chorus.fm to pool together money to hire a producer we like, then pick our 10-15 favorite songs from the last four albums, and have them mix a greatest hits for us haha
I was JUST thinking that it would be cool to have them compile the best tracks from their last four albums and re-record with a proper producer/mix... It's also possible that someone could just re-mix/master the existing recordings, but I'm expecting most of these songs to be single-track recordings
Honestly, they should have just saved themselves the hassle and recorded each of the past four albums while performing them live in front of an audience. They might actually sound better. Either way, I don't think they could sound worse.
really great point, what an interesting idea for a band to only release live records of their music, but it could actually make sense here
The point? They enjoy making new records? THEY like how the records sound? And believe it or not, there are people out there besides me who have been enjoying them as well.
If you could actually.... hear... the songs on this album, there are more than a few that are pretty sick. The opening track has so much potential to be HUGE, stadium-level huge, but instead it's "playing from the garage down the street" tiny
I just put the opening track on and holy shit you’re not kidding lol It sounds like the production is even worse on this new one compared to the previous records? Sheesh
Eric said he wanted the drums to sound like beating on a cardboard box. He recorded them with his iPhone.
Out of curiosity I watched that trailer, and I was actually surprised at the end to see its a theatrical film and not a CW tv series
lol noooooo! I need James Gunn to not miss. It feels very much in the spirit of Superman so far - you know, being optimistic about humanity, instead of whatever Zack Snyder gave us. Hoping for the best here...
I wouldn't worry based on what I said, I don't care for superhero movies and don't watch them, but the trailer visually and thematically feels like a CW tv series... to me
