The best case scenario for workers and society at large would be for neither monstrosity to buy Fox. But, at this point, I'm just assuming one of 'em will. So, I'm mostly just viewing this through the lens of what will give me the most enjoyable silly media to lift my spirits while the world burns. If the Fox stuff lands with Comcast, I wonder what the odds are of a Sony-style deal, where those Marvel characters can join the MCU and still get cool standalone projects. Depending on the internal structuring, maybe that'd also affect things with the Hulk.
Yeah, the money bell has already rang so Fox is definitly going somewhere. In the right universe Disney would have paid a large price and made negotiations for merchandising for only the Marvel characters and Fox would continue doing their own thing. I don’t want any company besides Fox owning Sky.
I'm curious to see how high these companies are willing to go. These numbers are already astronomical.
Disney will do what it has to in order to get what they want. I'm surprised we haven't heard reports of Mickey Mouse going around with bats and breaking people's kneecaps.
to be honest i don't think Comcast ever stood a chance and fox just wanted more money from Disney. i mean the new deal is 35.7 billion in cash and the rest in stocks. and they also get the 30% stake in hulu that fox has. Disney has all the money in the world to throw at fox if Comcast comes back with another offer but like the article posted here says fox already agreed to the new deal so...
Disney/Fox Bid Approved by the Department of Justice, But Comcast Isn't Done Yet This shit is so convoluted.
Huh? Why would you guys hope a finished movie doesn't get released? I still want to see it. If It's bad, then no loss. But if it's good.... There are more good xfilms than bad, but I still have fun with the bad ones typically.
I'd place Logo in the top 3 among Days of Future Past and First Class! And yeah, I'm pretty sure that and New Mutants are both done filming.
