I’m honesty a little surprised some people are a bit underwhelmed by this. It’s just about exactly what I wanted them to progress to from Dealer.

 

i mean dealer also took months and months to sink in, we've had the song for a day, and this is weirder than that. it's definitely not an immediate song

 

sorta like how i only know the mouth sounds off albatross.

 

Dealer is a quintessential example of a slow burn/grows on you record.

 

interesting song! not what i expected but I'm here for it

 

dealer, movmou s/t, threads, dig up the dead, every beach house record are like that for me

 

Their website is offline now for maintenance, so hopefully new album preorders go live soon.

I don’t think that this is that weird at all, and I’d call it more immediate for me than anything from Dealer, personally. *shrug*

This is a great reminder to put on Dig Up The Dead. Forever underrated.

 

i was pretty blown away by dealer from the get go

 

i don't think it's "weird" i think it's "weirder". there's more going on, it's less just straightforward dreamy emo and more weird guitar stuff and taking from a lot more influences. the structure isn't easy to digest and it's not that hooky

 

Yeah, Dealer was extremely immediate for me

 

dealer took me a long time to get in, other than magdalene and night channels and glass coughs i was disappointed at the get go

 

Dealer was immediate for me but I appreciate it on a higher level now for sure.

 

Pretty immediate for me personally. Dig it.

 

Dealer took seeing them live for me to really like it. Before that I was only really into the weave, indica, and eiffel

 

The section where the horns come in is amazing and very catchy imo

 

hahaha we have very different tastes in that regard, those songs are less hooky and more about the atmosphere so it took me a long while to come into those

 

Dealer was awesome on day one and the best thing they'd done by day two

I wanna listen to this again to participate but I don't even know when the album is out and don't wanna wear it out either way

 

i figured we'd get an album announcement with the song
