I’ve heard that this is one of the weaker tracks on the album so my expectations are mild, still excited.
there's so much happening that one listen of it isn't enough for me to process all of what I heard. but I'll probably wait for the album to listen to it again
Yeah def enjoyed the back half more. The beginning feels a little wordy..I don’t know. This is def an album band for me. Context is important for their music. At least for me.
Song rules, as expected I’m on my 4th listen already though and I still have no idea what Conor’s saying on most of this thing
Not available on streaming or YouTube in my region. Why does Triple Crown hate Australia? Edit: used a VPN. I dig it, especially the jazzy guitars about halfway through. The line between Foxing and Smidley’s sound is getting more blurred. I don’t know if it was Spotify’s crappy quality but the production sounded a bit flat and lifeless - I wish the loud parts hit a bit harder.
man how hard would it rule if they would put the song up for regions other than the US that would rule so hard
I wasn’t floored by the production either. I was told by someone that has the album that this wasn’t one of their favorites on the record but that the record is going to blow people away. So I’m trying to wait to hear this in context to judge too much.
This isn't what I was expecting from them, not that I had any real expectations of direction/sound, but hot damn this was such a fun listen! Its a welcome change of pace for me and I really dig the electronic elements they threw into the song. Production sounded good for me even with youtube compression. I'm reserving my seat on the hype train.
Song is fantastic, love the use of ambient electronics in the beginning and the way the song progresses is great, thought it would have stayed quiet.
