They're doing a few shows in March with Yohuna and Oyama. Pittsburgh 03/07 Philadelphia 03/08 Brooklyn 03/ 09 Allston 03/10
So they released a two song EP (I guess) called two today and it's re-recorded versions of indict and redwoods. It's on Apple Music so I assume all streaming services and in bandcamp here
This EP is outstanding. Too bad they've stated they've only just begun the work on another album, and it might not be out this year, but it's cool. I researched the backing vocals for Redwoods too, it's mentioned on badncamp that it is Lena Woods, but I had never heard of her before - only found a girl from a French edition of Voice or something like that, but not sure if it's her anyway.
I think Connor has a solo album coming out this year, so that will probably hold us over until this is ready. Of course I say that, but in reality it will probably make the wait even harder haha.
Here's a song he put out a bit ago. It's very different from Foxing. I know, for that song at least, that he played all the instruments himself which is cool. I think the record is actually finished so I guess we'll hear something sooner rather than later.
Thanks for that! Definitely sounds interesting, and it is really different, can't really decide what to make out of it hehe. But I will gladly listen to his record, I guess : )
Redwoods Two is so gorgeous, goddamn. Redwoods might be favorite song on Dealer, honestly. Would be very interested in a Connor solo album.
Watched that session at night as well, so glad it got released all at once - sounded tight, though the mix is mostly focused on Eric's guitar, but I didn't mind. Well, 'Dealer' is truly a masterpiece!
Heads up if you like the little elephant sessions, you can get them on vinyl now. I ordered both of Foxing's this morning for $15 each.
well they're lathe cuts, not really vinyl, but yeah. the first foxing session is one of my favorite live sessions ever.
