I've listened to previous Foxing albums but they left no resonating impression at all... if I am really enjoying this record, what from their past work should I revisit?
I would say highlights from the albums prior for me are: Bloodhound Inuit The Medic Rory Weave The Magdalene Night Channels Indica Glass Coughs
Give them another shot for sure. I started with Dealer and only kind of enjoyed it. Nearer My God and The Albatross are both incredible and I would recommend giving the Albatross a chance over Dealer. Or... jam their audiotree sessions. They have two of them, both of which are fantastic.
I'm not huge on Albatross but quite enjoy Dealer. I recommend revisiting that one. NMG is their first record I've loved by them and since NMG it's been interesting to go back to their back catalog.
They've gotten exponentially better with each passing album. I suspect in lieu of their next album, the band will just take turns killing me
Same boat. Dealer is a good bit better than albatross but I can’t see myself ever reaching for that now that this exists
one reason to reach for Dealer while NMG exists is that the albums sound completely different from each other...
NMG is definitely its own thing in comparison to their discography. it’s fine for people to just like that one, no?
All of the albums are different enough from each other that I think it’s valid to love one and not another But all three are very good too, in their own ways, so I’ll take them all thanks!
